To be so strong that nothingcan disturb your peace of mind.To talk health, happiness, and prosperityto every person you meet.
To make all your friends feelthat there is something in themTo look at the sunny side of everythingand make your optimism come true.
To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the pastand press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all timesand give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger,
too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds. To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you."
— Christian D. Larson, Your Forces and How to Use Them "
I've read on my secondary schoolmate's Instagram bio which reads, "Once a person is independent of all things, his happiness will be unlimited." And I can't agree more. What makes this statement even more relevant is when I read this that another friend shared on Facebook...
"Nothing in life has any meaning except the meaning you give it."
And she added, "Fear, guilt, condemnation, no-willpower have no meaning to my life unless I give weigh to it, by constantly thinking of the problem."
Change the meaning, change how you feel, change what you do, change your actions and transform your destiny. Stress is all in your own mind. You create and control your own stress. And how you react to these stresses depends on the meaning of the "problems" to you. It does not mean that fear, guilt, condemnation or any feelings doesn't really exist then but it's more of telling yourself that you are in total control of how you feel and how you CAN react to these feelings.
After reading all these self-empowerment quotes, I realized that most of the time, my happiness does not depend on how I feel about myself but on how others feel about me. And I feel so small all the time. Maybe sometimes, we just need to stop counting other people's blessings and start counting ours.
.
Now, I feel really blessed. And I will think well of myself and to proclaim this fact to the world not inloud words but great deeds!
